St. Louis

I have been neglecting the blog spot and we are a little behind.
Our hotel was beautiful. Pat and I got up and went to the Gateway Arch. Of course we took the unique elevator to the top. The arch stands 630 feet tall and that is also the width. At the base of the arch is a wonderful Westward Expansion Museum. We spent at least two hours at the arch. Then we walked down to the St. Louis Union Square. This was the rail station built in 1895. The Union Square has a museum and lots of small shops and food places. I had to buy yet another hat..(Ernie are you surprised?)...and for sure kettle corn.

Duo,
What fun and memories you had in St Louis. The arch must be great. Wish I could have been there to see the everything. Great picture of the group!

I am so proud of you both. Wish I were there to be the SAG cuz you know I wouldn't want to be riding.
Love you both,
Jana
I just keep saying, WOW. That arch is something else and you saw it in person!
78 here today. It keeps looking like rain but none so far.
Pat and I walked at 8 today and should have gone at 7:30. I really got "hot", can't imagine how warm you have gotten on the ride. Later Karen
Hi Pat & Jan,
You two are awesome! I could NEVER do what you are doing!! What an experience! Mike has sent us a few emails - fun to hear about your trip. Just got on your blog - nice to see the pics! I am done with school! Yesterday I packed up and checked out! Steve has a couple more days then he is off to a fishing trip up north - Leech Lake I think. We are leaving for Washington on the 14th. It is Suryan's and Ludwig's 50th anniversary so want to be in on that celebration. I am flying home over the 4th for my niece's wedding and then back out. Will drive back near the end of July! Steve will stay out there the whole time! Anyway - keep riding! You're in my prayers!

I can't imagine riding a bike that far. Keep going Pat! You two sound like you are having the time of your lives. What great memories you will always have. I will visit with you when you get home(at the other end of the Mississippi).
Love,
Mary
