Muscatine, Iowa

We traveled between Burlington and Muscatine, Iowa today. Again we biked mostly in Illinois and crossed over the river at the beginning and the end.

Muscatine is one of the cities that was hit by a tornado on Friday. We saw a bit of debris on the way to the hotel. But once here we realized that the tornado hit very close to the hotel we are staying.

Signs and windows were blown out. Trees lay on their sides pulled up by their roots. But the most spectacular we saw at the local Toyoto dealer. This set of cars was litterly on top of one another.

Our weather today was pretty ok. There was a bit of a wind from the NW which is supposed to be stronger tomorrow.

What a sight. It sure is a good thing you ladies were behind the storm and didn't get caught in it.
